Bear Meatloaf

  • 2 lb ground meat
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/4 tsp. thyme
  • 1/4 tsp. oregano
  • 3/4 cup tomato sauce (I used mashed ground cherries)
  • 1 cup onion, minced
  • 1 1/2 tsp. dry mustard
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • 1/2 green pepper, finely chopped
  • 1 small can of mushrooms or fresh mushrooms (wild morrels good too)

Bake at 350 until done (about an hour). when it looks close to being done, maybe 15 minutes, I spread either BBQ sauce or ketchup over the top.
