Sometime, we just need to get away from it all. Today (July 11, 2009) was that day. We decided to drive up to our favorite place on earth.
It's in the Sierra Nevada mountains, just above the "Chains Required" (or highway closed) elevation during the Winter.
We tried, once, to make it down here in the Winter. Since the small road is not plowed (and we did not have the right tires) we had to turn around.
We used to camp right next to the river. This is what met us where the trail meets the main road. For the life of me, I don't know why they did this.
So, we kept driving down the asphalt road, then down a dirt path, until we found a secluded place to play. Can you tell Stormy was excited? This was her first trip off our property! She did so good in the car and as soon as we stepped out, she was psycho pup!
There was a small waterfall and creek, so we let Stormy run wild! Now she truly understands she is a water dog!
This picture isn't as detailed as I would have liked but this is Stormy post-creek, soaking wet and pinging like she drank Monsers all day!
While we were up there, we popped off a few (I said, "A few"! lol) We just wanted to see how our newest arms handled. They are sweet! :)
Here's my honey! We stayed up there a few hours, wearing Stormy out and recharging our batteries. We really should go up there more often. It's like "going home".
A picure of the valley as we were leaving. We just love it up there!
