Now for the Edible recipes!
Most of us know how to cook something. But how many of us can truly cook without pulling anything out of a box? We need to learn, if only so we know what to do (and how to do it) if we do not have manufactured foods available.
Some of these recipes come from other websites, some come from cookbooks, and some we
have created by the author. We have been very diligent to provide the proper credit
for each recipe, when available. Since time is a factor, and websites come and
go, any recipe taken from an active website is properly credited. Others, we
noted the website is no longer available. There will be some websites and blogs that have great recipes but too many to list. Those will be listed on the Links page.
While many of these recipe utilyze wild foraged plants, others are more
mainstream. The key to incorporating wild foraged plants into your diet is to
take your favorite recipes, and substitute any vegetable or herb with one you
have foraged. Foraged plants do not need "special recipes" for the majority of
foraged plants. Just use them as you would any spice, herb, or vegetable. By
doing this, you will discover (on your own) what you like and don't like and how
NOT to use that plant next time! :)
