So many recipes, so little time!

Medicine

Preparing for your medical needs is vital for the survival of yourself and your family. I have seen so many people that would practically curl up and die if they did not have access to a doctor. These people have forgotten what it is like to self-diagnose and self-medicate. I can count on one hand how many times, within a year, I was taken to a doctor when I was young. It wasn't because I was being neglected, it was because my mother knew how to take care of many ailments. It has been drilled into so many people's heads, today, that only your doctor can help you. You must, as a responsible parent, take your child to the doctor every time there is even the slightest sniffle (and people are wondering why health care premiums are so high). With the availability of over-the-counter medicines, there should be no reason to over-burden the medical establishment and remain uneducated. We must educate ourselves!

Some of these articles/recipes/information come from other websites, some come from books, and some we have created on our own. We have been very diligent to provide the proper credit for each recipe, when available. Since time is a factor, and websites come and go, any recipe taken from an active website is properly credited. Others, we noted the website is no longer available.

We encourage everyone to study the various properties of herbs mentioned (whether foraged from the wild or purchased) prior to using. Some plants are not appropriate for certain people to use and you need to know this. Otherwise, the "cure" could end up being worse than the illness.
